Complete WiFi coverage with Full House

Updated over a week ago

We are pleased to introduce 'Full House', our premium WiFi coverage solution designed to cater to various home sizes and configurations.

Every home is unique, and eero was designed to be flexible so that it can be a fit for any home. Generally, we recommend the number of eeros needed based on the number of bedrooms and/or floors in a home. Our 'Full House' package includes up to 3 additional eero 6 devices

On the eero homepage, eero.com, shows various examples of homes with the number of eeros and locations. This can be found under the Testimonials section:

Here are some general recommendations:

Small homes and apartments : For small homes and apartments, we recommend 1-2 eeros per floor to extend coverage to another area in your home where WiFi might not reach, ensuring fast and reliable WiFi throughout.

Most homes: For most homes with two or more floors, the 'Full House' package provides optimal results. In this setup, eeros are strategically placed to maximise connectivity and create a seamless WiFi experience throughout your household.

Larger homes : For larger homes exceeding three floors, we recommend considering additional eero units, available for individual purchase directly from us. This flexibility allows you to tailor your WiFi coverage precisely to your home's layout and size.

Here are a few tips to help you optimise the placement of your eero Hub:

1. Choose a Stable Surface:

Place your eero Hub on a hard, flat surface like a table, countertop, or nightstand. This ensures stability and optimal performance.

2. Elevate Your eero:

For the best signal distribution, position your eeros at a height between the floor and ceiling, rather than on the ground. eeros emit their signal more effectively upwards and along the plane they're placed on.

3. Keep It Open:

Place your eeros in open spaces rather than inside cabinets or media consoles. This helps them communicate more effectively and avoids signal obstructions.

4. Minimise Barriers:

The fewer walls and the less dense their material between your eero Hub and beacons, the better the performance. In older homes with dense wall materials like plaster or chicken wire, placing your eeros near doors can help, as wood is less obstructive to WiFi signals. Aim for a direct line of sight between your eeros whenever possible.

5. Avoid Interference:

Keep your eeros 20โ€“30 feet away from potential sources of interference, such as:

  • Microwave ovens

  • Devices operating in the 2.4 GHz frequency range (cordless phones, baby monitors, wireless speakers)

  • Neighbouring wireless networks

  • Enabled Bluetooth devices, especially those sharing an antenna with Wi-Fi (like tablets and smartphones)

  • Garage door openers

  • Fish tanks (water)

  • Mirrors and reflective surfaces

Also, keep in mind that Wi-Fi signal interference intensifies wherever many people are living in close proximity (i.e. in subdivisions, townhomes and high-rise buildings).

By following these guidelines, you can ensure optimal performance from your eero Wi-Fi system.
